Sharing the Spirit of Christmas

The spirit of giving and sharing could be seen in Flower’s Bank where Belize Christian Efforts held its annual Christmas Party. Belize Christian Efforts is a non-profit Christian organization that is in charge of a girl-only children’s home. They provide, much needed housing, food and clothing to these girls while bringing them up in a Godly environment. Mr. Nelson Tyler and Mrs. Millie Tyler, the husband and wife team who are responsible for this ministry, were hard at work feeding hundreds of children from their girls home and the neighboring communities. These children are from underprivileged homes and they would, most likely, not receive a Christmas dinner or gift if it was not for this event. Mr. Nelson, Ms. Millie and their girls are a part of our congregation so our church took our bus, which was filled with volunteers, over to Flower’s Bank to give them some assistance. We all had a great time sharing our traditional Christmas dinner with them and later on assisting Mr. & Mrs. Clause with giving each child a gift. The children were excited and thrilled about the event and we received a blessing while blessing others. Our continued prayers are with Mr. Tyler and Ms. Mille for their ministry. It takes a lot of time and effort as well as money to do what they are doing at Belize Christian Efforts.
