Road Trips

August was a month for road trips for our church. On the evening of the 3rd we visited a church in nearby Maskall village. The bus was packed to its capacity for the occasion. This church was the home church of Mrs. Gloria Vaccaro way, way back in the past. Our worship team led the service and afterwards there was a sharing by the pastor and members of the church and some of our members shared as well. Ms. Marion had everyone rocking to the “Big Amen” song during the service and this spirit continued as she sang and played guitar all the way back home while others joined in or clapped their hands. This was a great initiative by our pastor as we got an opportunity to meet and fellowship with other Christians.

On the 17th we went on another trip, but this time we went farther north to Corozal to visit the church of Pastor Hugh Wade, father of Vernon Wade. Once again the bus was packed. We left a little earlier since the distance was farther. We arrived there with enough time to visit with Pastor Hugh and his family as well as to take a walk in the area. We were soon joined by a church from Crooked Tree Village who were there for the service as well. During the service all three churches were given an opportunity to share and Rev. Leal as well as Pastor Wade delivered two short messages which really blessed us. Afterwards we were invited to stay a little longer to socialize and were offered delicious food and desert too. We left shortly after as we had to travel back home before it got too late. We enjoyed this trip as well and we look forward to more of them in the future.
