Rain, rain, rain. I guess we got a little taste of what Noah must have gone through when we were experiencing the endless days of rain. Our entire country was flooded and so was our church yard. So much that we were forced to have service on the 2nd for only one hour because we could not gain access to the bathrooms as the access to them was flooded. We were not discouraged and our 1-hour worship service was as great as any other. While we were thankful that we were not experiencing a drought we were also praying for it to stop as a very important event was scheduled to happen in November that continuous rains would hinder. The beginning of the foundation of our new church!! We were scheduled to receive a special visit from Tony and Winston from Men With Mission (MWM) November 10th. These two men would mark out the foundation of our new church so we could begin working on it. There was only one small problem. The access road to the site was flooded. With much prayers and back to back cold fronts, within the space of a week it went from flooded to dry and they were able to go ahead with the work they had planned to do many months before. We were all so excited to see this project begin that on the following Wednesday night everyone who attended the Prayer Meeting walked to the new church grounds to see our dream becoming a reality. The work for this first phase continues under the supervision of Mr. Jimmy for whom we are very grateful. On Saturdays the men and young men of the church also came out to do their part. God’s blessing upon our church has been tremendous and we are so grateful that we are now beginning the building of our new church building and for people who are willing to come to another country to offer their assistance.
