Bacab Splash!!

By 8:45 on Saturday morning Mr. Jimmy had dropped us off in the bus at Bacab Eco Park, just about 15 minutes away from our homes, to spend the morning basking in the sun with the members of our church’s Ladies Group. This day was planned especially for us (no men or children allowed). The idea was for us to get away for a few hours (until 12 noon) and spend a little time relaxing and having fun in honor of Mother’s Day. If our mother was not a part of the Ladies’ group we were encouraged to invite them along to enjoy this time with us as well. A total of 18 ladies came and we had fun, fun, fun!!!

The entire day was planned and coordinated by Mrs. Tanya Wade who did a fabulous job. She began with a very interactive devotion which focused on women in the Bible and the qualities they possessed which we can use as women and mothers. After that it was straight to their very large pool. Of course some of us had to slide first before we swam around and for those who preferred not to swim there were plenty of lounge chairs by the poolside where they could just relax and wait for their lunches while viewing the show that the ladies of our church put off. “What show?”, you might ask. Well, I guess unless you were there you will never know; because as our president Ms. Yolanda Davis said, “What happens at Bacab, stays at Bacab”!!!
